Rossington FC U14 Blue have come a long way since their early days. They have developed into a close-knit, hardworking group of young players who embody everything that grassroots football represents. The current team manager has been involved with this fantastic set of players since the back end of their Under 9 season. This was when his son first joined the side. At that stage, the previous manager was running two teams and asked if he would take this one on. This allowed him to focus on his own son’s team. It was a decision that marked the start of a rewarding journey for everyone involved.
Team History
A short time later, Rob joined as assistant manager at the beginning of the Under 10 season, bringing his experience and enthusiasm to the coaching setup. With both coaches working together, the team began to grow in confidence, skill, and togetherness, building the strong foundations that remain today.
The squad currently has 15 talented players signed on, competing in Division 2 of the Doncaster & District Junior League. Every member of the team shows real dedication, training twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each session focuses on improving technique, tactical awareness, and teamwork, while keeping the fun and enjoyment that make grassroots football so special.
Over the seasons, the team has shown incredible progress. Not only in their footballing ability but also in their attitude and commitment. The coaches are proud of the way the players conduct themselves both on and off the pitch. Win,lose, or draw, the team always gives 100% and shows genuine respect for their teammates, their opponents, and the game itself.
